these are what i got i think they are about 80# injectors at 65psi or so , and they are direct plug and play , no cutting no splicing.they tuned nice and easy too.

how much boost can a 10:1 motor take? i would think 8psi would be the safest.

You can install the pump kit and drive it before you have it tuned. The fuel you don't use will simply be returned to the tank. And with the Lonnies kit, the second pump is on a hobbs switch, set to come on at 3psi I think. So, if you install the pump kit before the SC, then the second pump should never kick on anyway.

say he never wants to go over 8psi, what is the most reliable "budget" fuel setup?

If he never wants to go over 8psi, I would do a Bosch 044 in the tank, and 60# injectors. You could do both for about $500.

depends on your fuel and tune.

Dadkins GTO on race gas and now with e85 has been over 24psi @ 10:1 comp. And SilveradoL33s truck used to run 19psi on race gas, 14 daily on pump, and it was 9.9:1.

thanks for the input guys, im new to the forced induction arena! Sureshot, Badapple and Idahoblkss thanks for the help, y'all seem to have traveled this path before. considering the lonnies pump kit is only a little more than the factory pump/sending unit, it is a good idea for any future increase in boost. however, asking out of complete ignorance, are those injectors overkill? if they are i guess the tuner can compensate in the tune with the pulse width. I am assuming you guys are suggesting the larger capacity fuel set up to avoid having to replace any componets in the future if more boost is desired.

All Im trying to do is let you spend your money once and have the best, so later down road you will not half to upgrade as you want to make more power. Lonnies Kit and the injectors that SharpeShooter said would be your best route to me.

You dont want to be like me back when I had a 5.3l with 38lbs and inline pump. Blow inj. tips off and mess a cyclinder up cause to small of a inj. Learned do it once and the right way and dont worry bout it..
