Default New Intercooler Setup

Well the other night I was heading home and cracked my intercooler by pulling over in the ditch to turn around. I have the kind that mounts behind the air dam and I'm thinking of putting it behind my grill so that it won't bottom out anymore.

Anyone have any suggestions about fitment of this model? Or anymore brands/types/sizes to use? Would this take any cooling potential away from my a/c or radiator?

(edit: removed link of intercooler because it was not a sponsor site, but it wouldn't have fit good anyways)

The only thing I don't like about this one is the view of the intercooler will be broken up by the latch support bars and transmission cooler.

I think I'll just measure the dimensions when I get home and see how big of an intercooler I can stuff behind the grill.

24x12x4 is size intercooler I run. I had to c notch the frame rails for more ground clearance. Mine sits behind air dam as well

Only thing about mounting it behind grill is you will notice your iat's will increased it stopped at a light or what not due to the heat coming from the radiator. If you are running electric fans that will help.

Hey man I was running into the same problem with my truck being lowered. So I decided to put it behind the grill. I believe mine is 32x12x3 if I remember correctly, let me know if you need any help I am in savannah.
