Default New gauge pod set up for 1slow01z71 :)

Haven't posted in a while been busy with some new projects. Built a new guage pod to hold a boost gauge and some switches for Cody. Being boosted figure I would post here. LOL Any how; it started off pretty simple using 1/2" aluminum with the gauges going in flat, matching the panel. Then someone wanted to angle the and counter sink the gauges. Had to go up to 1" materail. All in all I think it turned out really nice, and putting the gauges in at an angle really helped the look of the part. I have no plans on building these unless we can get 10+people and do a prepay order. Cody was nice enough to place his order the us and let us butcher up his console to see if it fit.
If there is anything you want built, drop a PM and see if we can help with your projects. Again thanks Cody.

Rick

looks awesome, would prob look nice with and a/c switch panel relocation too where the a/c controls would drop to that spot and gauges could go where the a/c controls r now.

Ive already got a socal diesel mount in the overhead console with my boost and EGT gauge and a switch for my high idle and offroad lights. The mount in the console is going to be for oil temp, drive pressure and aeroforce gauge. The switches will be for ecutout, e-locker, train horn and most like some auxilary reverse lights.

This all started because I needed an oil temp gauge when I was towing my buddys avalanche running 80 after an hour and a half I noticed I had lost almsot 10#s of oil pressure due to the oil getting hot(running 12-1300* sustained EGTs with peaks of 1500 ) but I didnt have any place to put it and I dont want an a-pilar mount since they attract too much attention. I had one in my Z71 and everyone and their brother wanted to race me along with being one of theo causes of my truck getting broken into.

Im happy with the way it turned out for sure, Im going to polish it then send it off to get anodized black like my overhead mount. Only wish it wasnt going to be til this time next year til I get to install it due to leaving for 9 months for Army training.

Should have a finish just like the overhead one like this

The exact setup I have overhead except Im running autometer cobalts.

Raw aluminum 150.00
Black anodized 175.00 5+ are needed so not to be charged a lot fee. If you want a different color no problem there is just a lot fee that comes into play if that color is less then 5 pc.

A deposit of 50.00 is required from at least 15 people. Deliver time is 4-6 weeks.

Custom laser marking will be priced depending on the amount of marking.

Ha ha .... that sounds good and will look great and be much more discrete than a pillar set. Not exactly what I thought you might be up to but...
that is OK.

Best of luck on your army venture...
