New Blower for my VQ40 Nissan Frontier!

i would like to know how you like the SC. i may be installing one of these onto a 2006 xterra. we were thinking a sts universal kit. but the lack of good tuning stoped us from doing that. although if i wanted to do some wireing i could do a greddy e-manage ulimate.
and if you want JWT makes a boosted cam setup for these engines also.

moregrip, did your cats explode yet? we got everything installed on the guys truck and it was running great. then the noises started and it would "limp" him around. i told him it was the cats. sure enough he took them off and they were destroyed. so he gutted them and it runs much better now. but logging with uprev tuning software it shows pretty lean at wot. so he is doing away with the piggy crap and going to actually tune the truck. check out uprev.com its a actual tuning/data logging software kinda like hptuners and efilive.

WELL I just found this forum cruising for some other info online..nice
and more grip..this is what you want to do to your frontier.

I know I know, some of you already knew and said nothing, thanks....
And not being 1 to talk out my I wanted to wait till 1, I did the install, and 2 I have proof "Dynos" done. Yes I did buy a Stillen super charger preowned(I work on Jags so thats the terminology Im used too.) I didnt use the Stillen piggy back, I did what I and others have been saying whats the most ideal, no piggy back, bigger injectors and fuel pump, and tuned through the factory ecu. Yes Eddie(sexterra) beat me to it since he already had the super charger installed for a year.....Anyway several things I just reaffirmed
1...farkin power is AWESOME, way more than normally aspirated since power from 3k up is instantanious 7psi boost. on the Autometer gauge
2...did I say power is freekin AWESOME...yeah ok anyway I knew gas mileage would go up too since more power and better throttle response would greatly offset the additional 11-1200 pounds of weight I carry around over stock. I did the rest of the install Saturday and had to get a couple parts(bolts) that where missing. Then Uprev sent me a base force induction tune so I could drive up to Austin without smoking the cats from the super rich mix. On the way this morning I reset the mpg on the highway and.......23mpg all the way into Austin steady cruise @65-70mph!!!!! What! yeah I said that and didnt believe it!!!! Whats better is that after Jared tuned the ecu for cruise, 14.7 AFR, power, 11.7, towing, etc my top pull was 308rwhp @6k and 290tq, tq started @280 @4k (where an auto trans pull starts) to290 peak and almost totally flat... Then on the way home I reset the mpg 60miles outside Houston when the speed goes back down to 65 and is flat, this time I hit 27.1mpg all the way home for 60 miles...yep 27miles per gallon and my around town already looks to be 16 which was my old best highway mpg, up from 13 after last years tune...
3, other than the piggy back the Stillen blower kit(Magnusson) MP90 is great and youll smile every time you hear that whine, and push the gas, either alittle or alot....And itll pay for itself since I picked up 11 mpg! Although alittle slower since I now run 93 and gas is no longer $4/Gallon..He're some pics

brutal bill what injectors did you use? and what does your timing look like at wot? stock it looks like 50+ degrees of timing from what the uprev rom editor says. that can't be right. after my buddy gets injectors we are going to chunk the stillen piggy back across the yard and shoot the POS. that thing sucks more than words can describe. it toasted his cats. i think he lost a wideband with it too. his passenger side sensor is slow and reads lower than the driver sensor, even though his injector duty cycle is the same. but he did hit 300 rwhp at 5700 rpm where is speed limiter kicked in due to not having the uprev tuner at the time.
no i did read somewhere they made a gm 90mm tb speak japaneese and put it on a nissan. so i wonder if we could use the 90 upgrade j tube for our trucks with the 90mm gm drive by wire unit and a new custom intake tube. this setup could make some good power. i think the tiny tb and the stock box limits airflow.

you can contact Jon at PTP in Austin just up the street from Uprev on the injectors. He found some new style that are short like the factory ones to fit under the blower plenum includes different electrical connectors. The fuel pump I remember is a Walbro 255lph
I dont remeber the size but he does, and these are high effeiicency ones too which is another reason my mpg has gone up so much..heres his link

and yes so far am happy with it. and expecially since I picked the kit up used since with all else Ive pushed cost up close to current retail. ONly issue Ive got now well 2
is 1 exhaust has got to go. I just put on OBX headers friday afternoon at work, new but bought from someone who never put on, and waiting for a friend of mine to finish his install of full stainless exhaust, OBX, hi flo magnaflo cats, dual magnaflo muffs, with X pipe. He had the headers, cats and flomaster b4 but was to loud and Im waiting to see how his sounds to see if he made a money mistake or not. But gotta be quick since Im sure my stock cats are not liking full throttle hi speed 11.7afr's followed by hi vac throttle closing. IM pretty sude the driver side is coming apart since not only do I have a rattle, but #4 plug electrode got closed down last night. I didnt hear detonation, but judging from the glow, Ide say its time to call Summit or Jegs and get busy before I end of sucking cat material into the cylinders again from reversion like the Titans like to do stk or modded..oh I said 2 things,,,
looking for ways to build more power(arent we all) either meth, or possilbly a MP112, but we'll see..I said I stop after the exhaust is finished...I need to get back on the Sub, and race car....but I need to get back to the track and run to see how much it improved from the blower, I ran a 16.03 couple months ago which is not bad for a 5500#(1000# over stk, and as much as my Sububan) 4X4 lifted V6. I think I should mis the 15's, and with traction should do well. I still need to mod the locker in the rear so I can turn it on and off without being in 4Lo, and I already modded the ABS to shutoff its intervention, cause even turning off trac control it still intervenes with the electronic throttle.....
dirty engine, common its a wheeler
timing, I havent logged yet since Ive finished, but after a Nissan tech told me Nissan runs 46 deg btdc(I thought he was FULL OF it) I run 38 on the race car unless spraying..I datalogged it and sure enough it does hit 46 and sometimes higher so 50 is probobly there at times too..
whew too much typing
