**** make them pay for it ****! at lease help you out....but damn 408 to the wheel ...wow...lm7 n put an top end kit on it n a nicee tune...thats what im paining on doing.....or an lq9 with a mild cam n a nice tune

Yea my lawyer is handling it so I have to get a new engine so that's why I want everyone opinion. I am open anything, I have long tubes y pipe 3:73s posi g80, circle d 3000 stall just hanging around so I want to know the different ideas.

You could do that two, my thinking is 5.3's are way easier to come buy and cheaper. You can almost buy 2 of them for the money most people want for a 6L. And a 5.3 only needs to make 2-3 more psi of boost to make the same power as a 6L. In 05+ all the motors got the LS2/LQ9 style rods.

It all really depends on your budget... If money is not much of an option and you want to keep it fairly simple, find you an 05+ LQ4 long block. Install ARP rod bolts, LS2 timing set if you want the added security, a nice boost cam (ZO6 cams are cheap and proven but fairly small), and a TBSS intake manifold. With the right amount of boost and a good tune, you should be at 550rwhp fairly easily.

LQ4, ARP ROD BOLTS, ARP HEAD STUDS, P&P oil pump, dual timing chain good FI cam.

Yea I understand what you are saying Kb about the $$$. I went to the local junk yard today for $850.00 they wanted to sell me a 6.0L out of a 1999 2500 but it had iron heads. I told him i needed to do a little research, had a couple of 5.3s but all older not 2005 and newer.

Man they where trying to screw you I got a low mileage 05 LQ9 complete motor harness for less 1k couple years back.

Called a guy today he got 2 lq4s with no intake or anything he wants 1500.00 apeice. Don't know how many miles are on the engines either.
