Just realized you'd have to be quick cause you'd be doing this after you stage.

Yeah hydroboost would be easier and quicker but this works too just takes some practice. I did it my first time last weekend and my reaction time was 10 seconds

i have hydro boost. when i went to 2wd for a few months i could still brake stall to 7 or more psi. but both times i did i broke the left rear axle. so i went back AWD and can still stall to 7 or so psi. launches like that are crazy. i vote hydroboost but i'm bias. oh, and mine is a very very tight 3200 stall. it will only stall to 25-2800 with out boost. once the boost pushes in it goes to a solid 3200.

Hydoboost power brakes but uses your power steering to be the helper,. instead of a vaccum source. Normally 3/4 trucks have this. The bad thing is if the engine dies, there is no 1 or 2 pushes before the pedal gets hard.

Has anyone every installed a check valve in the line.

With the sts last year and my hyrdoboost swap I was able to brake boost 10# on the street with street tires and it would hold.

I can build 6psi on footbrake with 91mm using the rev in neutral method but problem is traction. Are you guys hooking these 7-10 psi launches.
