Also, Lance (our calibrator) said that the cal. is NOT speed density during normal driving conditions, but running off of the MAF.* It may switch to SD in certain start-up or idle circumstances, but under normal driving conditions it is using the MAF....... Here is what the engineer just sent me.

After their tuning that they changed to speed density it finished at 350hp 325tq. It defiantly feels better dropped a full second on my 0-60 time and I don't even think it's tuned for Texas DA.
did they say why they went speed density??? do you know anyone with logging software?

What's up with that 'box' in the intake track? The system on the Vortech site shows the supercharger inlet/tb on the pass side directly connected to the stock air box. Wonder why they switched it over to the driver side added that contraption of an intake?

I thought it was a pre-cooler (though seems pointless to have one before the air is compressed)

Intrecooled vs non-intercooled maybe?

He must have the one for the camaro. he did say he had a 6.2L. the website shows passenger side for the trucks and drivers side for the camaro. and only 5.3L for trucks
must have had to do some fab work to make the camaro blower work in a truck. but the website says 450 HP on a 5.3L. Needs a REAL tune!

Ahh, makes sense now. They took the easy route and just put the entire Camaro assembly on instead of swapping lower manifolds from the truck assembly to match the heads. Seems like swapping lower manifolds would be more economical than fabbing a whole new intake tube and coolant hose. :dunno:

They told me in an email if I ever decided to swap to a 6.2 that I would need just the base intake manifold. the head unit is the same. i dunno whats up with this set up.

Dang looks pricey, but clean. The shorter intake tract version makes more sense to me

Good looking system. Curious to see what you get out of it after a re-tune
