i thought about putting it on the driver's side. i'll have to look to see if I can fit anything there without moving the washer fluid. Maybe my project today will be to move the battery back where it belongs. I just don't want to F anything up.

awesome aside from the transmission. but that is being fixed starting monday.

I think I'm gonna move that filter. The more I think about it the more I don't like it being down there. My problem with moving the battery is I have no idea where all the friggin cables coming off of it are going. Looks like quite a project, and my PCM is going to need to be moved cause it is in the way of where the battery is supposed to be.

What do you have in the original battery location now? Seems like that would be the optimal location for the filter anyway due to the easy short run of intake piping.

the only thing there is the stock washer fluid reservoir and the PCM is up front between the headlight and radiator. I just put the filter up there. The hole in the fender on that side is way smaller than the one on the pass side. I will still need to box it in somehow. I think the original idea i had is now scratched.

anyone need a cobra head?

Be sure to snap us some pics once you get it ironed out.
I hope to have my tranny installed next week finally so I can then focus on the new CAI, MAF, throttle body setup for mine.

ok, turns out the 22* elbow I have does just barely clear the alternator(well, not clear, it hits it). I did a straight shot to the driver's side front corner where the battery belongs.

the truck hates it. just for giggles i stood over that spot tonight after i got home from a 15min drive or so. Then I stood over the spot where the stock filter belongs. holy temp difference. The stock location is much cooler.

I'm gonna move the battery back to where it belongs and put the filter where it belongs. Won't be any time soon though cause the truck is gonna be down for a week or 2 while the trans/converter is getting rebuilt.

The battery is grounded 3 times. to the engine, frame, and body. Is that overkill? Also, I'm trying to trace one of the hot wires. it goes under the engine. that's interesting. not sure where it goes. should be fun trying to figure it out, lol.
