hello, i have a 92 sierra ext cab that will be getting a swap done. i want this thing to run at least 12.5 in the qtr with a 110 or so trap... i would like to go the turbo route. would a stock 5.3 or 6.0 handle the needed boost or will i need some internal mods to make it cope.

any engine/turbo suggestions? thanks

A nice used procharger kit would be a lot more simple and easily get the job done. Matter of fact, I know where one is for sale right now.

All kidding aside, the procharger kit I have for sale made 440 rwhp on a bone stock 5.3 with a cat-back exhaust. I would think that would get you to your goals pretty easy.

yes, will have it fabbed. just not sure of the details. looks like i will need about 525 flywheel horsepower as per a cheesy online horsepower estimator. sounds reasonable to me...
