Default My FI Idea...Sts

K heres the background. 99rcsb, 212/218, full bolt ons, long tubes exhaust etc FLT level 7 trans, 4.10's and Tru Trac.

Ive always wanted a Maggie, and have been tossing around the idea. However, When i built the truck years ago, I was on a budget and used pacesetter Lt's and had custom exhaust work done. Well pacesetters look like ***, and my "custom" exhaust is now hitting my axle after another shop butchered it. So Im was planning on Redoing exhaust with AR LT and Y pipe setup and Corsa sport Catback......

Im thinking tho, maybe I can get two birds stoned at once. I know the differences between maggie and sts, the plus and minus to both. There are a few Roots style around here, but no STS locally, So it may be a bit different.
Instead of redoing exhaust, just using the STS kit and it will eliminate me having to redo all my exhaust because it will repalce it. What i cant find tho are complete isntructions on the STS kit to see if it comes with new manifolds, and full piping to the turbo....

Whats everyone think of the Idea of the STS, and does anyone have a complete parts list it comes with...the sts site is poop

thanks

Brandon

The only exhaust that the STS kit replaces is the muffler.

My point was, that the OP would still need to redo his entire exhaust system even if he used an STS kit. Ditch the LTs and put the stock exhaust manifolds back on. The money you save can be used towards a better tranny.

Start turning up the boost and you will find out otherwise. If you stay below 500 rwhp you will be fine.

I am sure you could find a used sts kit that the person would part with the whole exhaust at the same time. If I were to sell mine, I would. Any other direction would require long tubes or front mount manifolds.
