Alright Alright!! Unfortunately I didn't take any test fit photos yet.

there's one sorta

It seems the Procharger put a little stress on the alternator bracket. What fun is a project without obstacles? Nothing a little trip to my local junkyard couldn't fix. I figured I'd pickup a spare '02 truck pcm too because I want to update to the '02 OS.

Alternator Bracket = $50, '02 PCM= $25 How the hell do they come up with those prices?

There's the new Maggies valley cover. I got pretty liberal w/ the RTV because it just didn't seem to seal when I applied it to the inside, so I ran a bead around the outside. Then I gave it the 'ol fingerlick and smoothed it out. Being a roofing contractor I am pretty handy with the caulk. ( no homo)

Here's what I fabbed up for a throttle cable bracket. I took a piece of 1 1/2" x 1 1/2 " angle and cut a radius to go around the inlet. and thats a Jtube throttle bracket on top. Then I polished it all and the fuel rails. unfortunately That was just supposed to be a trial bracket and I used a piece with a pretty good scratch on the top. But the curve fit so well I had to keep it. If it works I can always make another.

I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any other ideas for a cable bracket. I'm not really crazy about how it kinda hides the front of the blower housing.

It's back out to the garage for the night, and after talking with Ray last night I've got a lil work to do. Thanks alot for all the tips with the wiring harness. That will really make this install nice and I'm not sure how you figured all that out or remembered it ALL in such detail.

NEXT POST WILL HAVE TEST FIT PICS!!!

Maybe if you trim as much of the 90 degree aluminum stock as possible and follow the lines of the inlet it will blend off real nice.

test fit photo as promised.

WOOPS!

I can imagine this in an instruction manual. Step 58: Unplug rear O2 sensors and disconnect harness and move it to the front of the vehicle. Thanks again Ray. Your hard work and advice really helped me out with this.

Fuel lines dipstick tube and harness all moved to make room for the blower. Moving that harness really opens up alot of room in the back.

Alternator bracket clearanced

I mounted the reservoir and pump to the air cleaner housing because the inlet forward fittings for the intercooler are on the front passenger side. I also mounted the heat exchanger behind the lower valance w/ the fittings to the passenger side.

Unfortunately I need all the length of the aluminum angle on the passenger side to line up the cable with the Throttle Body. I left the same length on the passenger side just to make things symmetrical. I did think about cutting 45's on the lower front of the angle. I could possibly trim the top where it's not needed for the bracket.

unfortunately the Radix bracket put the cables too high to work with the Throttle Body, but I think I can trim the stock bracket then drill and bolt it to the angle. I had my six yr old help me by pressing the throttle pedal so I could make sure the cables and throttle blade all worked correctly.

OK I decided to do some photo editing rather than going to work. Im thinking about cutting the angle like this.

Was moving the harness Ray's idea? Harness layout plays a part in a sano engine bay.
I thought like Joe on trimmin the brkt, but u already replied on the reason why. Trimmin the top in a gradual semi-circle( meaning beefy part is retained @ corners as u need, & thinnest in center near TB) might work. If nothing else, buzz off the lower corners. From the front, it doesn't hide that much, but it prolly bothers u more than us. Lookin good so far.

Blown3qtr, why not soften the lines a wee bit . IMO, maintain continuity on your brkt. You've a combo of curves & straight cuts. I say do the following, try to stay w/ a style. I'm kinda particular that way, but function over form, ya know. Facing brkt, trim a nice radius under where your cables mount. Use curves on the rest too. It'll be easier to smooth out curves, than to use intersecting lines, unless u don't overcut where the 2 planes (or points) meet. Just my .02.
