mp112 Q's
Im installing a radix mp112 maggie on my 02 ls1, the motor is in an 88 trans am gta, I was wondering what belt I would need if I was using a 2.9 pulley, im using the truck accessories off of a 6.0 or a 5.3.
I was also wondering how much the ls1 accessories are worth with a 25% under drive pulley and a new belt.

Depending on whether or not you have the newer tensioner support bracket in your kit, which has the adjustable idler pulley mount, you can get away with the typical 112.0 belt Gates P/N K061120. The 112.0 belt is what was supplied with the supercharger originally. If you happen to have one of the older kits with the non-adjustable bracket or you just want to run a slightly tighter belt, you should still be able to get away with a 111.5 belt, Gates P/N K061115, but may need to drop back in length slightly.
You can tell whether or not yours has the adjustable bracket by looking to see if the bracket has a slotted groove for the idler pulley on the passenger side of the motor. Also, if you want to add 100mm idler pulleys, without the cost of aftermarket billet pieces, your can purchase a set of steel replacements locally that in appearance look just like your stock pieces but larger. The part number for the Gates 100mm idlers is 38002 and thanks to EVILGMC, the part number for the equivalent pulleys from Dayco is 89055. The steel versions will typically set you back less than $20 each locally, which surely beats the price of aftermarket billet pieces with the same function; they just dont look as pretty.
As an example, my Radix has the adjustable bracket and with a 2.8 upper and 100mm idlers, I can still use the standard 112.0 belt and have to slide the idler a good ways towards the upper end of the adjustment slot to keep the tensioner positioned in the middle of its travel range.
