Default Mp112 fitment problems ??

Hey, I have a 2002 tahoe 5.3 and I am finally having a mp112 installed. I got it awhile back and have rebuilt it and it’s install time. I ordered a new tub for it and when my installer set it on top of the motor he said it didn’t fit well, said it would not go down all the way and there was a gap between the tub and the heads .

Has anyone else had this problem? I am waiting on pics from the installer now . I feel like I have the correct tub because I ordered it new and it said it was for GEN 3

I know my tvs1900 required spacer plates between the tub and heads, not sure if the mp112 needs them too....

You will need the stand off plates. Call magnuson and ask for Cindy.

I’ve talked to Cindy it seems like 20 times lol .. I’ll give her a call. In the instructions I got from her it doesn’t really show anything going between the tub and heads tho. It’s weird

Have the valley cover bolts been swapped for the low profile button head bolts? If not, tub is likely sitting on the heads of the stock bolts.

No spacers on my MP112. Like BigKid said, make sure you have the right valley cover bolts.
