Default Moving on up.. To a stroked 6.2 need advice.

So I'm pretty sure that I lost a piston or ring on my 5.3. a vacuum line came off of the wastegate and my truck hit 22lbs. Thing was moving out.. anyway. i got a good deal on a fresh 6.2 with good crank(58x reluctor),rods and boost pistons, rings. Also have a good set of ported ls3 heads that come with it. What do I need to buy to get this up and runing in my 04 silvy? what intake, throttlebody, what mods to make my accesories fit? any changes in my harness? Or connectors? The motor will be delivered in about 2-3 weeks and I want to start getting all the necessary parts for the swap. Any info that could be provided would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You will need the lingenfelter cam/crank box. 58x to 24x.
Throttle body spacer 4bolt to 3bolt if using the stock '04 throttle body.
If not you will need the torque rush harness.
We've done this swap many times and its straight forward.

It's getting harder to find low mileage gen3 engines. Gen4 swap is just as easy with the right parts.

Great! Thanks for the info. I'm going to get on that this coming week. I don't want to keep my stock throttle body with the bigger motor. What about the knock sensors? Should all the other connections be the same? If I could keep my stock harness, it would be great. What do you guys do about the maf? Should I use one for the 6.2?

If you're going to use a MAF at all use the one that goes with the PCM. Air is air. They also have a knock sensor extension harness to move your connectors from the valley down the side of the block. If you keep a cathedral port head, you can use your intake, sensors, throttle body etc... Very easy to swap.

Simply tap the sides of the block for the old style knock sensors.
No need to drill the holes out, they are ready for tapping.

How about the accesories? Will my brackets and accys. bolt up?

Thanks for the info. Please let me know if you remember of anything else that I might need.
