I had a missfire issue when i had my truck tuned with justin at bb. we figured out it was 3 spark plug wires near the log. We went to the store and got some new ones and all worked well.

Now a week later its starts doing the same, so i bought all new wires (that clear the log) and new plugs (tr6 @.035). Now its even worse. as soon as i hit boost it misses, and at idle in gear i can feel it. But if i ease on the throttle i can boost to 6psi before its starts missin.

im thinkin its a coil. I opened up the valve covers just to verifiy there wasnt a bent pushrod or broken spring. all checked good. must be a coil? or am i missing something?

 

i had the same problem haunting me....it turned out it was the MAP sensor. Do you have any codes?

see mine didnt throw a code either. see if someone you know will let you try their MAP sensor. worth a shot

do you have a tuning software? or a log that we could look at?

no i dont have efi-live or anything. ill prolly buy the scan tool v1, seems pretty useful for stuff like this and sending logs for tuning adjustments. kinda working blindly here

 

yeah i would get a scan on it. are you sure your not getting a ton of KR. You might be running lean or be running to much timing. who tuned it now?

 

black bear, we got a good couple runs on tuesday. I dont think its a tuning issue since it was all good last week. Its gotta be something im not catching.

Im gonna start back on it tomorrow and chase back the map wiring and see what else i can find. I KNOW the plugs and wires are good since i replaced them today. It just confuses me since this happened and we fixed it with plugs and wires. Now its doing the same crap with the new set
