Missing power?
#1
I went back to the dyno today for a couple of pulls to see what's going on with my truck. Last time I was spraying to much meth and you could feel the motor bogging so I took out an injector which helped but my numbers are still low. My AF was in the high 10's, timing 18 degrees and about 13psi of boost. This thing feels great on the street but doesn't show it on the dyno. I'm thinking there is a problem somewhere but I can't figure it out. Full boost hits at about 4,600 on the dyno and the power falls off once it gets there. I'm not locking the converter so I know the numbers are going to be lower but I was hoping to be close to 600rwhp with this turbo. Here is the dyno sheet.

Yeah, I tuned it myself but I'm still learning every day. I actually ran it up to 20 degrees of timing without any knock and it picked up another 20rwhp but I backed down to be safe.
This was on a dynojet. It made 555/590 uncorrected so the turbo might just be out of steam.

Is yours a butt turbo or front mount? I remember you having this problem a while back, did you ever move to a bigger turbo? I thought I could squeeze a little more out of the MP70 but I think the transfer case is eating up some power and lowering my numbers a little. Oh well, it stills feels good on the street.

I'm not completely unhappy with the numbers but I thought it would be a little higher.
