Anybody heard of the Synapse missing link?? I found it on ebay and its for MAP sensor cars that are forced inducted. Just curious as to why someone would need it.

Its a check valve for cars that came with a turbo from the factory. Factory ECMs, namely the GM 2.0 turbo cut fuel once the MAP sees X boost. The cheap method of bypassing this was to put a check valve in line to the MAP, so it sees engine vacuum but no boost. This allowed you to turn it up as high as you wanted, often blowing the engine
