Default "Misfire with Magnacharger"

hello every one,new to the site....well i just bought a used xl denali,dirt cheap.new car to me...came with check engine light on,code po303.swaped coil,connector and spark plug to cyl 1,still had missfire on cyl 3.sorry should of said it came with magna charger,i know jack about these chargers,anyways,i now the charger comes with injectors....are these injectors known to go bad often???is ther a way for me to test them??

i think your best bet would be to take off that damn magna charger and ship it to me

but i have no idea about anything to do with a magnacharger im sure some people will chime in.

I would say change the title of this thread to "Misfire with Magnacharger". You will probably get quicker responses with that title tomorrow.

all injectors are subject to failure. I would check it next. perhaps just swap it to a diff cylinder and see if it follows.

going to swap injectors before end of the day will post back results,if.....it happens to b an injector,are they sold separate by magnacharger??

also check the wiring to the injector, make sure the plug is making good contact, make sure the pink wire has 12v key-on power (the ground is what alternates for the signal) at that point switch that injector from #3 to #5 for instance and seperate it from the previous ignition stuff going to 1, might help you pinpoint easier.

You might be able to get a single injector......but if one's acting up, I'd personally just grab a set......they're all the same age/milage etc. if thats the case I wouldn't want to run the risk personally.

im in torrance caifornia,well after checking injector function,and ,swaping to cyl 5,still had missfire......went back to basics...cyl leakdown test and found rings on cyl 3 took a dump....not good.compression at about 110 compared to all others cyl at 180.according to last owner engine has about 30k,when i removed valve cover all valve train items looked very clean and fairly new....thinking of pulling engine and slaping new rings in it...suggestions????

I suggest you have a professional take a look at your truck. There is a shop located in the San Fernando Valley that we trust will ALL of our So Cal installs and trouble shooting. JPA 818-994-4410, ask for Jeff.
