Default Methanol w/Radix?

I'm planning to install Meth injection on my 5.3 w/Radix.... if:

If it is safe?

If it is reasonably easy to install (read: I'm a novice, but I did do my Radix)

If I can find a good kit and a good seller.

So; what do you friends recommend regarding what to look at and where to look at it?

Thanks much. Jim

If you can do a Radix you can do a meth kit. I just did an Alkycontrol kit, Julio is awesome to work with and the kit is very well done. The only potential problem I have heard of is that running straight meth will remove the finish on the s/c rotors, but
i have also heard that running a 60% water 40% meth mix works better and will not damage the Radix. Just what I have heard, so take it for what it is.

BTW...nice truck, and cute dog

We are probably going to install my Alkycontrol kit on my Radix setup. We were gpnna see how it does without it but the more I think about it 10.8CR plus 6psi might be a bit much for Cali octane. LOL

Hey I just installed my AlkyControl Kit on my truck to it is a very nice kit and setup. And I hid everything so all you can see is a braided line going into the intake. They are very nice kits and Julio really knows his stuff. I've been gone out of town and not got a chance to play with the kit yet.

I have the Snow Performance kit, it was easy to install and has worked well. I use 50/50 water/meth, because you get the cooling from the water, the fuel from the meth, and at that mixture it is supposed to be non corrosive. I haven't done much tuning with it besides a/f, but hope to gain alot when I add timing.

Here are a few pics:

How often do you have to fill up a tank of that mixture?

A quarter mile will use about 1/8 tank, but you'd be suprized how quick you can use half a tank on the street, using part to full throttle once in a while. I found meth for $2.75/gal, so about $1.37 when mixed with water. I just keep a 5 gal race fuel container with the meth and put the mix in a smaller gas can or windsheild fluid container. If I did it over, I'd get a larger reservoir with the low-level indicator.
