Methanol injection
What’s a quality methanol kit to purchase..
Going on an LS3 Stroker topped with a TVS2300.
Currently at 630whp 590tq @6lbs of boost, on 22’s and mud terrains. Not looking to run more timing, just a peace of mind for safety, as well lower AITs. It’s hot here in Houston Texas!

I actually used pro meth for nozzles and aem for the controller, pump and solenoid from snow performance and a ptfe line from map performance and i use my washer fluid for the reservoir as it has low fluid sensor. It was cheaper for me to build the kit than to buy it as one. I will tell you it’s phenominal and my iat drop quickly. Alky control makes excellent kits that will hold up to straight meth and they use your reservoir too.

a traditional meth setup works great on turbo & centri kits because you're spraying the air right before it's burned. PD blowers don't respond as well to that same setup because you take that freshly-cooled air and compress it though hot lobes & then send it through an intercooler that's only as cool as the heat exchanger up front can get the water.
on top of that, the reason Magnuson won't stand behind meth usage is because, according to DuPont (creators of the rotor coating), anything less than 100% alcohol runs too high a risk of not fully atomizing before it hits the lobes - thus trying to flow through the compressor as a liquid & eventually stripping the coating (which then leads to less-efficient compression because the gap between rotors gets bigger).
the unfortunate ideal solution is what i almost pulled the trigger on for my car - a direct port system. NX Express makes a sweet $1500 kit that could be adapted to work with about another $1500 in labor & fab to plumb the lines. i decided to just run a couple pounds less boost & put only some of that money towards better head castings + a full port & valve job instead.

I have iat sensors before and after meth injection and have dat logged a drops in intake temps. Which is nice since I can increase my timing based off of IAT which is another bonus.

Help me out here. Is the reason to use washer fluid rather than E85 because it's not flammable?

Well washer fluid with heet is flammable, 6 bottles to 1 gallon of fluid. One benefit is the methanol in the mixture evaporates pulling heat out of the intake therefore lowering intake air temps. It’s not necessarily high enough of methanol content to be used as fuel. Straight methanol is two fold, evaporation lowers temps and is also more combustible and can be used in conjunction with other fuels to help improve octane ratings. One downside to using straight meth is that it is corrosive to some injection components that’s why many people run alky control kits because they seem to last longer with straight meth.
