Default no oil psi...WTF..

well i just got back from the Dyno. and im on my 9th beer... the truck made 596rwhp and 659TQ. not to bad for 18* and 10.6 AFR and 13psi. so me and ryan took it for a drive...the truck pulled its *** off. as we were on the way back ryan gets in it a little and the oil psi is at 0.... so we pull off and shut the truck down. this is were the cursing began. the motor is not making no noise. it runs fine. so get it back to the shop and put a gauge on it at the turbo. still 0, rev it up and get it to 10 or so... so its not the sending unit.. could be the oil filter? or the pick up? or and i hope not the main barning.

any more ideas?

if its the motor than the 408 will come a little faster...like next week..LOL

Pull the turbo pressure line aim into a oil safe container and start the truck for just a moment.

Oil pick up issue, pump issues or the oil filter. But the filter should have a bypass to allow oil to get around it, if its clogged..

Could be a partially spun bearing also. Mine did the same thing at the track last year. After a pass the oil dropped to 0 at idle. Above 1500 rpm it had just below 10 psi. Drove it home 120 miles. Found copper in the oil and swapped in the back up engine.
