Max WHP for boosted truck on street tires
#11
If I could go back I'd like to have a 4wd/awd as well. I've ridden our company's 2011 sti and that thing has amazing traction even in the rain and with 375awhp. Awd is hard to beat. Now I'm trying to decide whether to build the lq4 I have and go n/a or sell it and turbo the 4.8 in my truck. Not really sure what to do.

I agree that awd is key if you plan on hooking on the street. I built my truck with intentions of doing lots of rolling burnouts and it's a blast but eventually your going to want to actually go somewhere. My turbo/cam/meth 4.8 is worthless below 55 even with 275/17's. It does hook at the track with a 28" slick though.

I have 4 linked the rear of my truck. Its not an all out drag setup but the geometry does offer decent amount of anti-squat. I was thinking that combined with some 315 (either sticky street compound or drag radials) would give me decent traction.
When you say move the gas tank do you mean for 4 link clearance or weight transfer?

I also spin on shifts so that 4wd talk isn't all its cracked up to be unless you take the necessary actions to make 4wd hook
And I don't spin from dig, I spin as boost ramps in, even spun at track now maybe cause mines lifted that may be not be helping

You don't spin from a dig...thus 4WD is what it's cracked up to be. You're probably running mud tires that are hard as a rock, not to mention 500 is nothing these days as you know. There's plenty of vids of 4wd trucks hooking up on the street with 1000rw, still haven't seen a 2wd do that.
