Default Magnum Turbo Help

Ok guys get your headphones on and listen...

Just got my Trick Stg. 2 kit on last weekend, 300 miles on Magnum 70mm. I noticed today a weird sound while pulling out of my driveway. In park, truck makes sound around 3k rpm, then goes away. Under boost it also sounds clean and truck runs great. Truck is on roughly 4.5lbs right now only and I made 4 passes at the track this past weekend. It sounds to me like the turbine is barley rubbing, I pulled the intake tube off, and I can wiggle it side to side but does not contact housing, it also has some movement front to rear which ive heard is bad. How can this turbo be bad already? The truck always gets idled for along time before shut down, and most of the time its in vacuum anyways. The turbo is getting 35psi hot idle, and 55-60 at 3500 rpm. Any help, I would appreciate.

I went out and retorqued everything. made sure nothing was rubbing causing me to think thats what it is. The noise is hit and miss, the video was the worse of it. I dont know if its wastegate noise resonating up or this turbo just really took a crap for no reason at all, I havent even worked it hard yet. Blades are not scraping the housing by what I can see, and there isnt oil on the intake side, so I dont think its leaking and causing oil starvation. Its just weird

I will pull it tomorrow, but using the block and pressure line kit from Trick, I dont see why it wouldnt be. I think it would have been really jack up or siezed with no oil, but I will check it. Thanks

That turbo sounds trashed, especially given that the shaft has movement. I wouldn't run it any more for fear of throwing metal chunks into the engine.

The shaft should not have play by your finger.

yeah everything ive read says radial movement ok aslong as it doesnt rub case, and axial movement of .001-.003. I just dont understand why already. Clean install, blades are not nicked up, I know its getting oil (checking it again tomorrow). 300 miles on it, ran great.

I tore down the turbo this evening, you can see it was rubbing the housing. It had oil flow, the bearings look good, not burnt, damaged or wore. There is minimal up and down movement but it did move back and forth about a tenth. I pulled the turbines off and pulled the shaft, shaft is perfect, and the oil in there was clean? I can see the bearings are held in by c-clips, so what causes the shaft to go front to back that much.
