Default MagnaCharger 112 Coolant Change Question

I have 60K & 9 years on my MagnaCharger Radix 112 it and am wondering if its time to swap out the coolant?

If so whats are you guys using now? Being 9 years later I'm curious whats updated if anything.

And your method of operation? I guess running some kind of flush by hot wiring the pump?

The truck is a 05 with 65k, I put the kit on it @ 5k.

Thanks

I use barely any dexcool, as distilled water does a better job of removing heat. 2 gallon system capacity iirc. I live in Houston though, so very little chance of freezing weather.

When I changed mine, I disconnected the return hose from the sc to the top of the reservoir and ran it into a big pan. I turned the key to run to turn the pump on, and as it was pumping had my garden hose running into the reservoir to flush it out. After the water was clear coming out, I turned the hose off and let the pump empty the system out. I reconnected the hose and filled it up with half a bottle Water Wetter, maybe 12oz of dexcool and topped it off with distilled water. I checked it every evening and topped it off as the cavities and bubbles worked their way out.

And I just posted up a thread about changing the oil in your MP112, should be changed at 100k miles. I changed mine at 80k just for good measure. Here's the link

Thanks. That Dexcool is not the same stuff that used to solidify in the GM systems is it?

We do get a little freezing weather here, what is the mix amounts you guys recommend?

50/50 mix, basically the same as you would treat your engine's cooling system.
