Same here, I am 99.9% sure it disengages. I can feel it release. The last pass I made it got stuck and didn't release until it shifted into 3rd.

I wonder if the "feeling of release" (ahhhhhh) is the just the plunger pulling back. When mine broke it stayed engaged and I had 4wd all the time. I didn't realize it, I was like wtf, this feels like 4wd but the light isn't on. Made sharp right and POW snapped the pinion.

possibly. leaving the track that night I got a "your 4wd is fuked up" message on the DIC....but putting it into neutral and tapping the 2wd button corrected it.

So when it releases and you feel it, what does it feel like?

i have been reading on here a while but this is one of the few times i have said anything, anyway i have been looking at the meth/boost and e.t.s around here and this thread, and i was wondering, how many of you guys are running a stall???

i have a 5.3 swap in an old 2wd jimmy, i currently have whipple (5-6 psi) without the whippletronics, it runs ok (mild bench tune just to put some miles on the truck) and am going to be installing a tight 3500 stall soon and going to the 11psi pulley, for those that have stalls should there be a big differance???? anyone else running 10-11 psi? whats your times? (btw the truck has duel exhaust with h pipe and headers, no cats, wieght 3900)

I was having major IAT probs related to many factors. Running 8psi and 100% meth starting gradually from 3psi. I put the CTSV exchanger on and noticed a huge diff. I had probs with the original exchanger as it was partially clogged and that was most of my issues. Meth helped in my original crippled state to at get some timing and boost built in, but won't really know for sure til I pull it out of storage in Apr and get smaller pulley on and tuned...we'll see how much timing its worth. Then I'll think about upping compression to closer to 10 and see what ultimately I can get outta this ...
