In regards to using a 1" spacer between the upper/lower intake on an MP112. What are guys doing as far as fuel rail mounting and making up that added 1" of distance between the upper/lower intake? I was looking at going with the EV1 style fuel injector. That would make up 12MM, but what about the approximately 18MM left? Remove some material on the mounting boss on the upper intake? I know they have those 1" long injector adapters, but is that really a good way to go as far as injector efficiency? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I know one guy used a dremel to cut off the fuel rail mounting tabs and rewelded them to the top of the fuel rail and ran the same injectors. I can get more details on monday, posting from my phone.

I am pretty particular about the way it looks under my hood. Like my **** looking like GM did it themselves!
Actually, one thing I mentioned in my original post that was incorrect.

the only 112/122 that uses the 1" spacer is the jackshaft versions, the radix 112/122 use the 13mm or 1/2 spacer.
on the 112 i just recently helped on the injector fuel rail mounting bosses were milled down the amount needed for the proper height, which in turn gave aditional clearance between the fuel rail and rear pulley which was nice.
i will try to upload a photo of what was done.
so far the radix shows nice gains in iat reduction and actual blower temps with the 1/2 alone.

My 112 is not a jack-shaft version, but I do have a 1" spacer. My spacer is an aluminum one that was made by Trick.
It is used to make room for a bigger, more efficient intercooler as well as meth spray bars. So you were able to mill the intake down roughly 1/2" without any issues? It looked like there was enough material there, but I wanted to make sure. I would like to see what it looks like and how exactly you did it.
Any other ideas would be welcomed! Trending Topics

Interested in results also.I have a mp122 on my car and also looking for better IAT's.I want to install a extra heat exchanger and maybe a icebox to see if it helps.I log my IAT at the track,it started at 99 and was 194 when I cross the traps, this was 1/8 pass
