Default LY5 intake mainfold?

So i recently turbo charged my truck with a complete custom kit in-house at our porsche race facility. I am trying to pull a vacum source from my intake manifold and was wondering where would be the best location there looks like there is a backfire valve on the passengers side of the intake manifold with a tab that i can jsut break off and it would leave me with a fitting? Please let me know?

Default vacum manifold?

I don't understand what you mean by vacum manifold? It is connected to the stock intake manifold and i think i can just hook up a vacum line to that port once I break it off!

They do make some adapters that go in the brake booster vacuum hose to give you a vacuum source.

Back to your question, yes you can break that off and pull a vacuum referance from it. Mine is from that port as well. Just break off the tip of the fitting as mentioned above.

Perfect..... Thanks guys I'm really excited about getting this thing on the road. It's going to be interesting to see what a factory built 5.3 with a custom built turbo kit (gt76) running 7.5psi will put down with hp tuners? I am going to build the engine later after I see how the factory engine reacts to this. I'll post pics up once it is complete! Oh yeah I forgot to mention since I tune chassis for Porsche I linked therearend and had custom one-off springs made for the front!!!!
