Default Lsa itch and a question...

I have gotten the itch to put an lsa sc one of my trucks, havent decided which one yet though, and its going to be a long drawn out process, as i collect parts and everything i am going to need over time. Not to mention i need to address some other issues with the trucks and some other stuff in life before i start the process.

Question i have is, will a snout from a zr1 fit on the lsa blower? just thinking the straighter inlet would be more conducive to leaving the air intake where it is.

I dont think the 2300 and 1900 snouts are interchangeable.

If they were, I think we would see a lot of ZL1 and CTS-V guys using them at the 2300 snout is larger and can be ported further.

My plan is to just run a 90 degree coupler off the throttle body and then a aluminum intake pipe to the factory airbox with a rubber coupler off the airbox to give me a little wiggle room. Is it the best way to go, no but it will work just fine for what I want.

Had actually thought about either a vette or the gen 4 f body ram air, from an ss or the firehawk/ws6 setup, would require rebracing my hood, cutting the ram air open and sealing off the cowl to the air box, ducting the ram air slot and the cowl to the air box, just need to get one of my smaller more flexible friends to climb in the engine compartment and take some meausrements and pics with the hood closed....

I have a question about the intake for a LSA.

Can you not un-loom mass air flow like the guys do on the trick turbo kit. To relocate over to the other side of the engine. Or is there not enough wire to reach that far?

As soon as my rims sell I'm going to buy the blower for a LSA swap. And starting collecting parts over time just like you. It keeps the wife happier if I spread out my auto parts that I buy LOL.

Wasnt even thinking about maf harness... just about leaving air box in stock location or fabricating a ram air/cowl setup.

I have some parts i plan on selling here soon, have a set of 5364 heads and L92 intake, a couple nnbs intakes, 2 or 3 transmissions, and the stock wheels off my yukon i figure the money from those can go towards this little pipe dream of mine!!

I did all this to my 07 Tahoe even did a 6l80e swap so can answer pretty much any questions. I did my whole lsa blower setup for around 3k 2 years ago and it stays super cool at 14 psi the way I set this thing up hx pump so on. Trucks very fast for stock heads and cam mid 12s 114 mph in the summer running e85 in it. I went budget on anything I could to save money and two years later zero issues on any of my cheaper parts like the 150 dollar hx I bought that’s dual pass. I custom built the intake back to the volant cold air box with a custom 4 inch maf and considered building and sell them as kits. It’s all 4 inch so works well on these trucks if it’s 07 and up. Just hit me up if have any questions on what to buy.
