LSA Evap question
#1
Ok, so Ive read mixed stuff on the whole evap solenoid and its purpose off these forums. I have a 2007 4dr Jeep with a swapped 4.8. Im waiting to hear back on my tuner to see if he turned the evap solenoid off on the truck. But my jeep still has its own evap canister for it thats not hooked up to the chevy engine.
Im looking to do an LsA swap on the the 4.8. Its a gen 3. I understand ill need a 2 bar cobalt map sensor, and i understand the routing for the vacuum lines.
What I DONT understand, is will my pigtail for the evap canister on the truck intake plug into the LSA evap and work? Or will my truck evap solenoid screw into the lsa evap hole?
Idk what the evap solenoid does in my setup. I still pass emissions as I have I flow cats, O2 sensors, and a seperate OBD2 port for the chevy side of the jeep. Again, waiting to here from tuner as to whats what, but this is the last thing i have a question on for my lsa swap before I pull the trigger. Thanks.

The evap purge solenoid allows accumulated fuel vapours to be drawn from the canister to be burned in the engine under certain conditions. From the photos of them, it appears that they use the same connector. I had swapped to an inline solenoid(not the LSA style) from the Gen 3 truck solenoid and it was plug n play.
