Default Denali Whipple Build

I am in the middle of a Sierra Denali Whipple build, the truck is a 2009 and has the L92 motor. My question is how much boost can I safely run on the motor without having to worry about any sort of failure, I was hoping to run around 10-12 Psi boost. Its going to be my daily driver.

TIA

The other add ons to the truck are Texas Speed VVT-1 Camshaft, rods and springs, LS3 Ported heads, Texas Speed 1 7/8" Long tubes, ARP Head studs, trunnion upgrade kit, Walbro 450 pump with return style fuel system and aeromotive regulator, and bosch injectors.

Around 8 to 10 is pretty good for a stock bottom end on pump gas, should run very strong there.

What happens if you end up with a bit more? Can timing be backed down enough to compensate for too much boost or is it just a bad bandaid?

You can pull timing to keep it happy at WOT but it's more efficient to keep good timing in it and lower the boost if you run into knock issues.

on the 2.3L Whipple that I ordered yesterday for my 09 Sierra Denali the stock pulley from Whipple is 3.625. I am having them change it to a 3.00" from the get go, according to the tech I spoke with at Whipple a 3" pulley is what I am going to need to run around 9psi boost to compensate for my long tube headers and the Texas Speed VVT-1 Cam.
