Default LSA Blower vs Procharger on LQ9

Ok i have my heart set on P1SC so im saving up for it but, someone told me about the lsa off a cts v with a rectangle to cathedral port adapter. the P1SC is a straight bolt on for my 6.0 plus it has a $400 dollar upgrade to the be a D1sc. the P1SC is $5000 and the LSA is $700 and adapter $110 thats 800 for a super charger. kinda hard to pass that up. what bumps are in for the LSA because the old saying is you get what you pay for.

$800 for a supercharger minus a bunch of crap. I have tossed the two ideas around for longer than I care to admit. After adding a reservoir, heat exchanger, pump, accessory drive swap, misc odds and ends, the difference dollar wise comes close to a kit that is brand new. There was a sponsor on here that sold an LSA kit and it was around $5000. I think positive displacement superchargers are awesome. They sound great and seem like the best daily driver forced induction option.

However, a D1 dedicated drive setup has always been in the back of my mind. I would rather have a brand new kit delivered to my door. If you have more time than money, you can pick parts and put together a kit for less money, but how much less money?

If you are smart and can shop you can do a LSA swap for around $3,000 easy depending on year. The flex fuel trucks with larger fuel pumps make things cheaper for sure.

The LSA blower also needs the $400-500 top hat with sensors, so it'll be around $1200 for the LSA supercharger.

I plan to do this type of swap and I have $2,600 in parts added up so far, with knowing it might be a tad more. I am not name brand loyal at all and won't buy parts from some vendors when I can get the same stuff else where for less.

I have my entire setup on the lsa, and I'm in 2260. There only thing left I need to do is to figure out is what pump to run in my fuel tank, because I want e85

It really isn't a lot of work tbh. I think you could have it done in about 5-6 hours if you have everything.

I have owned both a P1 and an LSA setup.

The P1 was my first stab at a fast truck, it made 477 on 12lbs, but was a ******* dog down low. Hated it. Sold the P1 to build an LSA combo.

I used to have a roots blown Saturn, and I loved the tire frying torque. So I wanted that
in my truck too.

Due to scope creep, my project has evolved from a mild 5.3 LSA build to a 408 with a maxed out pulley combo on the LSA.

I was lucky and bought my LSA stuff before the idea blew up, so I have a $400 blower, $200 ZL1 lid, $200 cadi rails, $250 injectors, $40 crank pulley, etc.

for the LSA Kit itself, I am probably less than 2k into it, but I am reusing the heat exchanger and pump from the P1 build. The rest of my expense is 4L80, fueling (lines, pumps, regulator, fittings) and 408. Plus underhood restoration parts and powdercoating.

I selected an LSA balancer (close to truck 10%OD) and the 8 rib kit from LSSimple.

truth be told, here is how I see it P1 is easier to install, easier on the motor and trans because of the linear boost, and in the long run probably cheaper

Don't know where you got that idea, I have an LSSimple, and have had one since I started this project.

What size belt did you buy About20?

That's the one thing I haven't found yet, I'll be using the OKW belt system.
