They sell adapter kits to make the LS9 blower work on the older engines with non square port heads.
You'll need lots of other odds and ends to get the rest of it working. Like intercooler, pump, hoses, wiring, fuel pump upgrade and anything else fuel related like the LS9 fuel rail etc etc.
Years ago I bought everything to swap onto a 2012 truck, back then I had maybe $2400 into it total because you could get take off units for $600. Prices aren't as cheap anymore, people pay stupid prices for LS9 blowers now.

If he's putting this on a 6.2 the ls9 charger should be a bolt on.
My suggestions:
Convert the accessories to an LSA/G8/SS.Corvette offset, you don't want to deal with trying to over pay for the LS9 setup. I would just purchase the entire setup the GM offers and then replace the OEM balance with an ATI unit. Olson Kustoms makes SC pullies to run the LS9 charger on that drive (I actually still have a brand new pulley as I was going to convert my GTO to that drive).
I would suggest a Holley Terminator X Max and piggy back OEM instead of the Lingenfelter converter as a 6.2 should be 58x/4x setup if you are wanting all your stock gauges to function like normal.
An air intake could be tricky as that charger will sit low, see here for a NNBS: https://www.lsxmag.com/news/swap-ins...evy-silverado/
They used the LS9 accessory drive (the LSA?G8/SS would be cleaner) but you can see how the intake could get tricky.
As mentioned above the heat exchanger components.

i was thinking of running the engine of a piggy back ecu that can run the engine and 6 or 8 speed trans, keep the stock one to run the dash
as for the intake the guys thats been working on my zr1 is a really good with fab work he should be able to come up with something ( i hope ) so the lsa and ls9 are the same spacing ?

No the LS9 is it’s own spacing. However Olson makes a supercharger pulley for the LS9 charger that is offset to match the LSA blower pulley offset. I still have the 2.45 pulley I purchased from him when I had my LS9 supercharger, so if you decide to go that route keep me in mind if you want it as I’ll certainly sell it for less than a new one.
