Default Lq4 Turbocharged

Hi guys im from Australia and have purchased a 6litre iron block with LQ4 heads and dished pistons.
I Was thinking of running a intercooled turbo kit running 10 psi,has anyone experience any problem with the standard pistons on 10 psi running about 500rwhp.
I would of liked to have gone forged internals but can not afford it at the moment so I thought next best thing would be to drop the compression .
Here a lot of standard Ls1 5.7 are running these turbo kits on same boost and no one has had any problem.
Are the LQ4 pistons stronger than the ls1 5.7 pistons?
I had alook at both pistons and the LQ4 pistons have a thicker ring lang and chunkier.
Are they made from the same material?

Cool

I have been running a STS kit with the T60-1 for 16 months and 12800 kms. No problems so far and I was at 10 psi for most of the time but did a lot of DD at 5 psi. I just recently turned it up to 12 psi on what seems to be a fairly rich tune at 12.8* of timing at WOT. I run a meth kit and get a lot of KR if it is off at 10 psi so make sure your tune is very good. I am trying to fine tune it now but it is going slow and something always seems to pop up to slow down the progress. I did get a G-Tech time of 13.179 in the 1/4 @ 104 mph so I was pretty happy about that on my 6200 lb truck.

Cool

My engine is the LQ4. For the LQ4 you should really be running a 67mm compressor as the T60-1 is even a little small for the 6.0L. No HP info.
