Default Looking for help with Isky 218 Cam....The problem turned out to be my tranny!

I recently switch cams in my boosted LQ4 to an Isky 218. Has anybody had any success with this cam that would be willing offer some help? I've turned a pretty quick car into sled and need to get back on track. Thanks!

My previous setup was basically a stock LQ4 with a Master power 76mm turbo. The car would go 10.50s pretty easily on about 12 psi. I made the mistake of switching the turbo and doing the cam swap at the same time and now the car has slowed down by a full second & 13 mph in the quarter mile using my previous tune with a few minor adjustments.

So what I'm looking for is a tune to get me started because I'm clearly not even in the ball park.

The old cam was LS6 (02 or 03 I believe) and the new turbo is the 80mm GT45.

Better work on the tune a bit more. Could probably use a little less fuel and/or more timing on the low end now.

LOL....That was kinda the purpose of the post. Do you have or know of a tune I can use to get me started? If not there's no hard feelings.

You need to learn how to use the scanner & histograms of your tuner software. The engine will tell you what it wants. Simply loading somebody else's file & hoping for good results is risky, and usually unrewarding.

Lol, you'd be surprised how often its an overlooked mismatch of parts that causes issues. Send me a pm with your email.

Understood and I'm constantly using them and attempting to learn. I think I did pretty well with my 1st setup but not so much this time. My plan wasn't to just dump somebody else’s tune into my car and hope for the best but if somebody has more knowledge than me I figured why not reach out for help. Thanks for the response though.
