I have to agree, all the vids of the triple 12 in a 4.8 or 5.3 sounds like chop. I would think both would idle like a cam but I wouldnt want a LUMP LUMP LUMP

 

Those cams don't really chop but they have some sound , now you can adjust sound by playing with idle tune

This is the cam I'm running, It has some chop, esp cold. I'm still running my long tubes, until I get my turbo mounted.

I have a triple 12 and honestly its not choppy enough for my liking. I got it because everyone makes great power with it so why not get something that is tried and true

I personally like the lope.. I like to know a cam is in there. Just like getting the thumbs up from the old timers at the stoplights knowing hotrodding is still alive!! Event though guys make good power on the smaller cams like the tripple 12 just not my thing I guess.

 

If you want stockish idle you may want to get a custom grind. Both of this cam will hit a bit.

 

Triple 12! Triple 12 will idle better and have more low end torque, the other will have a bit more top end but you've got a turbo so let it make the power. As far as getting to 600 why not go with a bit bigger turbo and sell yours? Love your truck!
