How about anything that has a plate, registration, insurance and inspection
I'm okay with that as long as it's routinely driven on the street for pleasure (weekends for example) and not just for test hits and the majority of others agree that's fair.

-tag, registration, insurance, and inspection (implying lights, and bumpers)
-stock frame (no tube chassis or sectioning)
-all stock safety features at least (can have additional like roll bar, battery cut off, etc.)
-can still put a load of 500lb in the bed if needed
-can be run on pump gas or pump e85
-working car speakers with radio
Nice, I like this description! We'll use these guidelines then. If anyone else has an issue, speak now or forever hold your peace

so race gas is out of question then? how about if that is required because of chamber design?

Not a street car

Dont know many guys that cruise around on gas thats $13/gal anyway. I said can be run on pump gas or e85, doesnt mean you cant add some smellygood gas to the tank and bump the timing when you feel frisky.

On one of the diesel forums we have something similar. The main rule was it needed to drive to and from the track under its own power.

rules are hard to do for anything since so many things have gray areas...at first rule was no bar but that would mean youre illegal at 11.49, now no good fuel but if required cause of chamber design...its tagged, insured and driven on street then its street

I don't see why race gas should be a disqualifier for this list. If people want to pay that much to drive their street vehicle, it only hurts their own wallet.

If you have a track near you that runs "Street Legal" nights you run what you drive on the street cage or not. They didn't kick me off after a few sub 11.49 passes with no cage. I even had a buddy do 11.1 without a cage.

But I agree tagged, insured and driven to and from the track it is street legal.

our street legal nights has 7s cars, 8s cars and trucks

my example was based on how picky do you want to get, if you bring up safety equipment then a roll bar is part of safety

make list....fastest PD blower list period, no rules like it has to be pink on tuesdays and run on unicorn **** on wednesdays
