We made a few pulls today. My tuner is keeping the truck a few more days, it was about 100 degrees outside and we want to make a few pulls when this cold front moves thru. He said it will make more power when it's 70 degrees outside. It's running 13lbs on 91 with stock48's trip 12. Made 450/480. He said my 20" wheels and 33" tires are robing some power. What do you guys think?

Definitely a good start! Seems like there's some power left on the table though. But those temps hurt more than the wheels and tires will.

I want to let everyone know that stock48 (Jarrett) went above and beyond to get me my parts on time. The manufacturer had a back order for my springs so he overnighted springs from another supplier. I took vacation time to get the swap done and he definitely came thru for me.

Not to bad! I know there's more in it though! I wouldn't worry about the wheel and tire combo being on the bigger side, from what I've read and seen you're prolly only loosing 10-15 hp because of it.

What injectors are you running?
What rpm are you running it to now?

60lbs injector rated to 72lbs at 4bar, Walbro 450. I wasn't watching rpm but I don't think he took it all the way to 6k yet

There's no reason why you shouldn't be seeing 500+ HP/TQ... I'm sure your tuner will get it squared away! Either way should be a blast to drive now... And beat down on 5.0's and stuff!

Why did you swap out the factory flex fuel pump? And was it a bad swap?

I wanted to make sure It didn't loose pressure at higher rpm. The swap wasn't bad. I loosened the bolts on passenger side of the bed and removed the bolts on driver side. I used a couple 18" 2x4's to prop up and tilt the bed just enough to pull the fuel pump assembly out. The pump and regulator are held together with plastic supports inside the bucket. It takes some gentle finessing to get them out. On the newer truck you don't need the regulator because the fuel pressure sensor wil increase/decrease voltage to the pump to regulate the pressure. I drilled a few holes in the side of the bucket to allow more fuel in. And cut two slots in one side so I could feed a stainless steel hose clamp thru the side of the bucket and around the pump. that secured it in place. Attach new fuel hose from pump to top of the fuel pressure sensor. Cut off the wire connections and use the fuel safe crimp style connectors that come with the pump and put it all back in. Took about 2 hours
