Default lets talk fuel setups.

i want to get that new edelbrock intake for my tahoe. but i will have to change a few things around to run it. i have already converted to return style fuel setup, but i'm using stock rails and regulator. so one thing i'm trying to figure out is what regulator to get for this. the other thing it how to route the plumbing.

it seems to me that you could go from tank to one rail, then to the other rail and then to regulator and from there return to tank. that would give good flow to all injectors with out the fuel having to ever hit a wall, ie end of fuel rail.

I have no idea really, but how about a WYE to feed both rails and then a WYE to the regulator and return line to the tank?

well the regulator has two inlets. so i could also do a WYE to the rails, then run each rail to the regulator and back to tank.

That's what Mort said. One suggestion from me is to check with the regulator's manufacturer if their regulator is 100% shutoff. Mine is not, and you have to make sure that the pump is still priming when you crank the engine. If you wait a few seconds too long, the pressure will have dropped enough to cause difficulty starting.

his had two wye's mine had one. but yes basically same thing. so your regulator doesn't stop flow once it drops below the set pressure?

Oh, right. What was I thinking?

Right about the regulator, it will not maintain a residual pressure like the stock one does, and I was told it wasn't designed to.

Your last described arrangement is considered optimal. Y to rails, both rails to FPR, FPR back to tank.

I have not yet found an FPR that does hold residual pressure. They all seem designed to always bypass some fuel. Guess it could be an issue if they got stuck if you were using a pump that didn't have a pressure relief mechanism. My Magnafuel seemed to hold until the first time I activated the megapump. Now the Aeromotive seems to hold better, although only momentarily.

well can you increase the fuel pump prime time in the tune? i haven't ever looked to see. if anything you could increase dwell time or start up inrichment.

Either that one or the -6 version if you will be using it in the optimal configuration. Might save on fitting costs with the -6. You won't need -10 if it is after the rails.
