Lets Play Guess the Power Levels
#1
I im in the planning stages of putting a Whipple charger on my 74 Blazer. I have a 2004 5.3 for a motor. I plan on pulling the motor out putting a cam in it along with ARP pro Serries Rod Bolts. I am planning on running around 8 Psi of boost. I will be using HP tuners 2 Bar custom OS. I will be using the injectors that come with the Whipple to spray meth into the compressed air. Here are some of the specs
40,000 mile 5.3
Blower cam 214/230 .601/.579 117 LSA
60 lb/hr injectors
Meth Injection
whipple charger 8 psi boost
What are your guesses on power levels with this setup and is there any thing major that i need to know that i may not of thought about
Thanks

It's about time somebody tried spraying methanol with the Whipplejectors. My guess is that your power level will be high. What you need is a better fuel system, whatever you are think of is not enough. Build your fuel system for 2000 horsepower, that way you be ready when the more boost bug bites.

Yea the big issue right now is figuring out how to control them, i was planning on a small IC circut that used the CAN info for the firing but that fell through so no i am trying to create a circut that will vary duty cycle with boost level.
