Default Keying crank for turbo build - thoughts?

Wondering who has keyed their crank for their turbo setups. I know it's kinda mandatory for the blower guys, but what about turbo?

It certainly is not a bad idea.

I did mine because the crank was out and what is 200 bucks in an engine build? Then there is no problems.

Most aftermarket balancers come with keyways, so its definitely worth having a keyway cut in the crank during a build. If you are referring to pinning the stock crank pulley, I wouldn't. The stock pulley is a piece of crap. I would at least get an aftermarket one, then pin it. Its nearly impossible to line up the pin marks once its removed though, that is the only downside to it.

Most all aftermarket cranks come with a woodruff key slot on the end as well.
