With 9lbs of boost and some awesome tuning I make 193hp over my baseline tuned 5.3l with the Maggy and cam.

Magnuson Radix with LPE GT2-3 cam. Stock heads (L33 style ) with springs/pushrods. Shorty headers and true duals. I hope to break the 500hp barrier in the coming few weeks with some long tubes and a little more tuning.

Thanks yurs78! I have been trying to keep an honest account of my mod history there.

I got tired of seeing it coming soon on there site. Oh well, I am glad I took matters into my own hands. Big air to air intercooler combined with off manifold make for very low iat's.

My bro-in-law was running a KB on his cobra pushing 19lbs. boost. I think it held for just over 6 months before the blower got too hot at that boost and the screws ceased.

I have heard over the years that the twin screws don't have the durability that the eaton spec'd rotor groups do, never any first-hand experience, just what I've heard...........if that is/was true, I imagine as the years have progressed so has it's durability

ht ekit they installed was a very simple kit that almost anyone can do in thier own garage with simple hand tools. it is an excellent part that outperforms most other superchargers on the market for the displacement and ease. i am a hard core gm guy so don't castrate me here. but the kenne bell is a top quality piece that is hard to beat.. from first hand experience what they claim is always a lot less than what you actually get. i have never seen a durability problem with a kenne bell and they do not have the iat temp probs and locked up rotors like some may think. the boost is normally lower than the eatons or mags with less temps and more power. i think they have a gm kit now. check out the website.

anyone have any probs yet with a kenne bell? not what your second cousins husbands brother in law said. real world it happened to you experience. i want to hear the bad.

I ran the 2.2L for 3 years - never had a problem. I now run a 2.8L custom fabricated one and no problems so far.
