just watch two guys garage, they had a stock 06 or 07 gt mustang with 250 hp at the rear wheels, after installing a kenne belle intercooled blower 60 pound injectors and a 90 mm mass air meter it made 422 hp and 485lb/tq! then with a custom tune it made 501hp and 499lb/tq to the rear wheels!! that's a 250 hp increase!! WOW!!!! Pat.

I challenge the two (I get paid to promote) guys to do that to a GM GENIII based truck... with a Kenne Bell GENIII based truck kit assuming it is / was / or maybe is (depending on who you talk to or can EVER get ahold of) available. Other than that... whooptee doo... I don't own a Mustang. I am quite impressed with what Kenne Bell has supplied to the Ford FI croud... it is quite clear where us GM guys stand.

Bill :) lol, nice |
I think the new KB 2.6L and 2.8L compressors are capable of doing that on a forged LS1+ no problem.
|
Is there a lower manifold available to the public for a 2.8L compressor yet? I called KB about a month ago asking about the 2.8L and they told me it was way too big for a 6.0L engine. I was thinking that a forged 6.0L and 15psi from a 2.8L would have been nice.

The 2.8 KB blower isn't too big, it just needs to be looked at as expandable.
That blower can be tuned to run on a stock engine with no issues. It will just have the capability to turn out a lot more boost and power for your next built engine. Jim |

I WILL say that I am intrigued and impressed by what the Kenne Bell OFF manifold truck guys are doing as far taking performance enhancing matters into their own hands... Whipple guys as well. I will never doubt what these guys are doing... off manifold... big intercooler... very cool. No one doubts what the KB 2.6 or 2.8 (ON MANIFOLD AND INTERCOOLED) will do for a GENIII... what folks doubt is the opportunity to PURCHASE one for a TRUCK!!!! |
