kenne belle make's 250 hp

just watch two guys garage, they had a stock 06 or 07 gt mustang with 250 hp at the rear wheels, after installing a kenne belle intercooled blower 60 pound injectors and a 90 mm mass air meter it made 422 hp and 485lb/tq! then with a custom tune it made 501hp and 499lb/tq to the rear wheels!! that's a 250 hp increase!! WOW!!!! Pat.

I challenge the two (I get paid to promote) guys to do that to a GM GENIII based truck... with a Kenne Bell GENIII based truck kit assuming it is / was / or maybe is (depending on who you talk to or can EVER get ahold of) available. Other than that... whooptee doo... I don't own a Mustang. I am quite impressed with what Kenne Bell has supplied to the Ford FI croud... it is quite clear where us GM guys stand.

Bill :)

I think the new KB 2.6L and 2.8L compressors are capable of doing that on a forged LS1+ no problem.

Is there a lower manifold available to the public for a 2.8L compressor yet? I called KB about a month ago asking about the 2.8L and they told me it was way too big for a 6.0L engine. I was thinking that a forged 6.0L and 15psi from a 2.8L would have been nice.

The 2.8 KB blower isn't too big, it just needs to be looked at as expandable.
That blower can be tuned to run on a stock engine with no issues. It will just have the capability to turn out a lot more boost and power for your next built engine.

Only way they could get numbers like that is is there running 15+ lbs of boost. Simple math, double the atmosphere = double the HP (- parasitic losses).

Yup... Like I said... on a ON MANIFOLD kit that is / was / maybe available depending on who you know on a particular day of the week when the planets happen to line up and a warm (technical support) body that answers the phone, email, or fax machine. Nevermind the receptionist who is happy to take your order for something they ACTUALLY make that is just as clueless as Kenne Bell wants her to be. I hate to be sarcastic... but non-performance to the GM croud does not deserve the respect that Kenne Bell continues to offer to the Ford croud. Wow, a few C5 Corvette kits out there that require a completely new aftermarket hood because none of the aftermarket hoods built by several different companies in many different styles for Magnuson intercooled clearance will work... woo-hoo... one KB(visible on the popular forums) making incredible power. The C5 (first GENIII) Corvette was available in 1997... the GM GENIII truck was available in 1999. Anybody want to comment what Magnuson has done for the GENIII community since those times? Whats Kenne Bell done for the C6? Magnsuon has been there... done that. Whats Kenne Bell doing for the new body style GM trucks and SUV's? It was announced publicly several months ago that Magnuson is hard at work for its future new body style owners.

I WILL say that I am intrigued and impressed by what the Kenne Bell OFF manifold truck guys are doing as far taking performance enhancing matters into their own hands... Whipple guys as well. I will never doubt what these guys are doing... off manifold... big intercooler... very cool.

No one doubts what the KB 2.6 or 2.8 (ON MANIFOLD AND INTERCOOLED) will do for a GENIII... what folks doubt is the opportunity to PURCHASE one for a TRUCK!!!!

The new KB blowers are capable of 15 psi easy, and they have another set that can take you to well over 20 psi efficiently:

Big Bore up to 15 psi

H Series up to 24 psi

One of these will be on my next vehicle. :D
