You do realize a good drum brake will hold you on the line better than a disc brake right? Good luck that is a nice truck. Hope you reach your goal

Yea drums have better holding power on the line. You just need a 2 step

Drum brakes actual rotate slightly and wedge inside the drum. Not just expanding and holding.
This gives you a better holding power then discs.

We are using 60 and 80mm turbos. So far its been a good learning experience. Theres no way this 4.8 would spin the 80 like its doing if it wasnt for the 60 down low. I can only imagin what this thing is gonna do at 20+psi and a 75 shot down low. Well the only thing I can really imagine is a blown engine ha!! Kyle is helping me install the roll bars next week and we will be back at the strip to see what it will do.

As far as the brakes go. I did not know that. I will lookIinto the drums and see what the issue is then. I already have a 2 step installed so maybe I jave a weak ps pump or just need to flush the old brake fluid out.

I am VERY impressed with how this setup has turned out! Pretty much drives and boosted almost as well as a 60mm on a 4.8 driving it around town and then as the boost comes up, it just keeps going!!! And blows off the 275/60-15 M/T DR's!!!

The lack of boost on the launch is not a spooling issue, its a traction/brake issue!!

There was a bunch of criticism of how well it would work since this type of setup is usually seen in the diesel world, but damn if it doesn't work well on a gas motor too! No way you could get 650+ out of a 60mm alone, but drives like one on the street!
