KB front mount limits......

Seriously, we have no idea as to the limits of this kit, because the only thing that was measured was boost. HP numbers weren't even measured either. I'm willing to bet he has a small A/R housing stuffed on there in an effort to build as much boost on the street as possible with a manual trans.

very true it could be any of that. it can also be owner issue with to much backpressure. granted its probably a combination of things. and KB said he would take care of it.

eww..thats a small turbo on that healty 6litre. id say with a .81 ar your seeing high back pressure levels even with your exhaust. I again dont htink its PSI as much as its back pressure. again the damage is over but dont point blame at KBkit when psi isnt the issue. its more of back pressure...also waht size wastegate?

Its the one that came with the kit from KB. Im not pointing fingers, I contacted Kyle to see what he thought about the break, he said it was too much boost. Im turbo kit ignorant, im still learning. Im not saying what caused it, I know it broke now twice, and I know I need to make it stronger to last under what power levels Im wanting. any suggestions on what I should run? this was never meant to bash Kyle what so ever.....

yes it is limiting me now. it was built as a street cruiser, fun to drive truck. and it is that, its not built for the strip. its fun breaking loose at 80+ mph on the street....lol

i wonder with your trans not allowig you to shift at high rpms and the motor seeing more exccessive pressure cause it cant flow as it needs to since the shifting is held up some. Make sense? in the end it happend, its odd but least its a learing curve
