Any ideas on where to pick up a restrictor? How consistent would my boost be with one on? Thanks.

Feeling your pain Joe, with my Escalade. Have also been thinking about a Yank 3000 Torque converter, but when I hear how much power folks on here are making with just a single turbo, I am tempted to jump into the line for a turbo next summer at AFI Performance (Martin's place) in town and just sell my Procharger head unit. Please keep us posted if you do the Yank Torque converter route.

I agree that you need more converter, but no more than a TB converter or 2600 stall. I did quite a bit of work for a while on Procharger trucks and almost every single one that I worked on had no where near enough timing down in the lower rpm to make up for a centrifugal blower. It should make alot of torque down low, way more than your tires can take. Every Procharger I've worked with will make around 4-5psi down by 2800rpm or so and at that torque should be big. It might not be as much as a Maggie, but more than your tires can handle anyway. Try another tuner, don't just give up on it.

Added, if you start making the power you should, 42's won't be enough with your returnless fuel system.

thanks, for the replies. I ordered a 3200 stall this week and should have it installed in the next few weeks. My tuner says they've got the software update they need to tune my truck correctly now. Guess I'll have to wait and see. If I don't like it I'll get blackbear to tune it, because he is with in driving distance from me. I think a spot on tune will really wake my truck up.

cmb570, I have already installed and paid for the the p1, so I am going to try and make it work for me the best I can.

I'm getting ready to drop some more cash on the truck as soon as I can sell some of my other toys. Then the rig is getting long tubes, high flow cats (would go catless but need to pass inspection), electric cutout before the cats, cam and heads, wheels and tires. I should be able to do this all at once when I unload my PA equipment. I think the truck will make some pretty good power after these additions.

Anyone on the restrictor?

I believe procharger does have an upgrade program if you do ever decide to go with the d1. I did it when I had a mustang (no shooting)

yea i can upgrade for 1200. The reason I went with the p1 is that the p1 can make alot more boost than my stock bottom end can handle. When ever I do go with a forged set up I will upgrade to a d1 or larger. For now the p1 is plenty for my needs.

I paid 5,300 for the entire kit installed with a custom dyno tune. Why?
