Whats the downside to running the br7 plug versus tr6? Im using the tr7 and any good reason I should go to the tr7 with e85?

What spark plug to use at 10 lbs of boost - LS1TECH

looks like 7s are just safer but 6s will do the job and last longer

I thought one of the advantages of e85 was being able to run more timing and a hotter plug?

Thats true...

If its cutting up under load you need to shorten the gap. I put around with 8s at 0.020" all day and it drives fine now that I fixed my alternator.

B8EFS are working good for me at 18 psi. Gapped at .025 out of the box and that's where I leave them.

I ended up going back to TR6's gapped at 0.028" and it stopped breaking up in boost.

I had TR6 upto 15psi and it boosted to 20psi on the dyno with no problem.

Now I have TR7 gapped at .028" for 15psi. Planning for pump upgrade then 20psi on same plugs. I changed to TR7 plugs only when I upgraded from T76 to S480 planning for more boost.
