Default installing the radix this weekend!

hey guys, the time has finally come after having the charger sit for a month in my extra bedroom! ive already installed the new fuel pump so i wont have to mess with that. so my question is, are there any tips or tricks that i need to know before i install it? this is my first FI install so i am a newb at this. i have had the heads off my truck before and have changed the cam twice so i am pretty familiar with the truck. just wanted to know if ill need any other special tools or tips to get this done as quick and as easy as possible. ill have 3 full days to work on it so that should be plenty, even though im pulling the heads to put thicker cometic head gaskets to compensate for the shaving of the heads. anyway thanks in advance for all advice.

You can go ahead and mount the intercooler heat exchanger and such to save down time.

About the only tip I could offer, as the kit is so easy to install, would be to some how tape or tie up the knock sensor harness. So that after you get the supercharger in place, you don't have to try and feel around behind the back side of the motor for it or accidentally let get trapped under the new manifold.

It's in the instructions but important I think. The intake gaskets are fairly fragile, be sure and soap up the heads so that any adjustment needed when you set it on won't tear the gaskets.

Spraying a little silicone spray on the heads makes it real easy to move the Radix around when lining up bolt holes...

I just installed one in my buddy's truck this past weekend.Kit is well put together and instructions are almost too detailed. Pretty straight forward install.

You should have NO PROBLEM!

Why haven't you put it in yet? Hurry up!

Make SURE all your grounds are good, if you have to disconnect any ground links. Especially the one that goes to the back of the passenger side head. I disconected mine to get the main harness up enough for the blower/intake to slide in, and connected it to a valve cover bolt. BIG no-no. All the valve cover bolts are insulated due to the coils being mounted there. Check, and double check all grounds! Other than that, the kit is well packaged, and the instructions are very helpful. Have fun!!
