not real happy w perf.i installed a vortec with iac and meth .boy i think iv got issues it seems very flat i guess .let me explain better ,when i get on it from dead stop its weak till like 4500 or so then goes like hell hit 2nd and just quits altogether ,very slowly climbs into boost through the rest of gears seems like boost kicks in late ,then that flat spot thing is sickning my stock motor was better climbing ,but im sure its just simple things i dont know about this is my first time s/c in .i think im gonna unhook yhe meth until i figure thing out on just the s/c .i did get an aero gauge so as soon as i figure out if thats hooked up right i might be able to answer tech ? better.iv got iac issues too id dont know if thats 1oo percent right either so 1 thing at atime .first the flat thing ,help me out guys im new at this but a good learner .sounds like im interviewing lol.any intelectual answers on what feeling i should be expecting i would appreciate ,thanks.

 

well what did you use to tune it? do you have a wideband to determine your a/f ratio? i can go on about stuff you need but he obvious things come to mind.

 

Did you setup a tune? Sounds like your rich with meth and bogged out until you can get some rpm to make it feel better.

 

i had allen send me a new tune .put in an aero ,dont quite knowq how to use it though,just havent had time,i did that iac install idk if thats right but i had to use a black instead of brown ,my aero is reading 310.0 for iac im assuming thats not right .as far as the s/c is theyre anything immed,obvious too look for on my ? about flattspots.or is it the fuel pump i didnt install ?idk.

How much boost are you running? If you're running real low boost(4-5psi) it probably will feel bad down low until it builds some decent boost. Centrifugals don't build a lot of boost down low.

When I had the procharger on my car I was only running 5psi and it felt the same as what you describe because it might have only had like 2psi until past 4000rpm, then it would build up to 5psi by the shift. Once it shifted and the rpms dropped it had to do it all over again.

A bad tune could definately be the problem also.

 

It's so hard to say without knowing your exact setup and not seeing a scan of things happening. We could throw ideas your way, but I am sure Allen has it setup okay enough to that it should run right. Does Allen have your tune accounting for the meth?

Fuelpump you didn't intall? What kind of boost are you running and what year is your truck? I'd throw in your signature what you have so lots of our beginning questions are answered.

dew ,you were some what right the first time i went out it was real bad ,turned the screw up and it was way better ,but its still real flat through the gears.i mean what are these settings supposed to be on idk.iv got a cammed lq4 thats it and a s/c untouched?start up and peak settings?i just put it in i havent really played that much yet it kinda scared me a little now after that first run.

 

i hate to say this but i dont know what my boost is i just put this on ,its new vortec s/c w meth.you tell me lol what am i running for boost ?sorry guys im new at this i dont mean to sound so ameteur.will the aero tell me boost cause im not finding it .
