Default ideling issues..

Ok heres the deal guys. Crank the truck up it idles good. Drop it in gear, drive or reverse and as the truck starts to move it idles up and down and almost shuts off, sometimes does shut off. The truck is pulling bank 1,2 system too lean. Any ideas? Maybe bad o2s, just dont wanna waste the money if its not the problem... Thanks Nick

Do you have a scan tool where you can watch the o2's?

could be a few things.

maf has everything to do with a lean condition, that's easy to determine, swap it out with another truck.
truck must be checked for vac leaks, the only way to do this and be certain, a smoke machine.
using hptuners, check for codes and o2 switching.

it could also be fuel pressure, so that might be something to add to the list.

since you'll have hptuners, perform some idle, normal, aggressive and wot driving, then when done, click STOP and Save Data as... and send me the scan file, allen@nelsonperformance.com
Be sure to keep an eye on a/f ratio at wot, must be rich enough during those pulls, if not, let off.

Thanks for the response Allen. I was gonna be sending you some logs anyway to try to fine tune the truck. We are trying to get my innovate hooked up to hptuners today. The afr is 14.5 at idle and crusing. And low 11s at wot. We should have the logs for you by monday. As far as the fuel pressure Im not sure what you have it set at, I think its 43.5. Are you saying that fuel pressure might be a issue at low rpms when I put it in gear. I can check that with my mechanical guage on the shrader valve. If I had a vaccum leak wouldnt loose boost pressure under wot? Cause it holds boost. Thanks, this is Nick Solomon by the way.

I'll check your file, but I do remember tuning for 72lb'ers.
A lean hesitation or stumble or high ltrims could be a vac leak.

i'm sure fuel pressure is ok if a/f ratio is ok at cruise and wot, those values are fine.

send the scans over, i'll analyze them and get back with you.
