Lq4 mangled,its got arp rod bolts,melling pump double timing chain

Is ls9 gaskets a good choice or just regular 6.0 gaskets

LS9 gaskets are a very good choice compared to the stock 6.0 gaskets. IMO, for a slight bump in compression why not go for the 243 heads and enjoy a smidgen uf better midrange torque.

^ Yes, definitely run the LS9 gaskets, they are a superior gasket for boost. Also, I would go ahead and run ARP studs but that's just me. If you go over and watch the classifieds on ls1tech, there are good deals that pop up pretty frequently for cnc 243's. You can spend a few extra hundred and would be much better off. I plan on picking up a set when the funds are there and running this setup on my rig.
